Over 60 years Segmetal is the Italian market leader for the manufacturing of DIN slitting saws which are used for cutting and milling of steels, precious metals, alloys and plastic materials. They can be used on transfert, milling machines, special machines for screw-slotting, jewellery and micro-mechanics applications. Our DIN saws are supplied with hub as per our standard but we are able to supply them without hub as well and we can manufacture special items on specific customer request. Our DIN saws range is available ready at stock according to standard DIN 1837 A (tooth form A), DIN 1838 B (tooth form B) and DIN 1838 C (tooth form C and BW). Our DIN slitting saws can be supplied in HSS-DMo5 (M2), HSS-Co5% (M35) and solide carbide steel. On customer request we can supply our DIN saws with PVD surface treatment (TiN, TiCN, Red Baron, TiAlN and S-TiAlN) and steam treatment.
DIN slitting saws for jewellery
These slitting saws can be supplied in HSS-DMo5 (M2) and HSS-Co5% (M35) and they are suitable for jewellery cutting. They are supplied with A tooth form and they are built hollow ground with strengthened hub and with a number of teeth less than pitch 1 mm T<1 mm. P.V.D. surface treated saws are available on demand for special cutting applications.
DIN slitting saws for orbital tube cutting
These slitting saws can be supplied in HSS-DMo5 (M2) and HSS-Co5% (M35) and they are suitable both portable and bench orbital cutting machines. They are supplied with BW tooth form and they have excellent cutting performance even on pipes with a wall thickness of 3-6 mm. For stainless steel pipes we suggest to use of HSS-Co5% saws. P.V.D. surface treated saws are available on demand for special cutting applications.

These slitting saws can be supplied in HSS-DMo5 (M2) and HSS-Co5% (M35) and they are suitable for screws and bearings cutting. They are supplied with A tooth form and they are built parallel lapped and without hub. P.V.D. surface treated saws are available on demand for special cutting applications.
